What a time to be a fan of “Daisy Jones & the Six”! Reese Witherspoon announced she was continuing her book-to-TV reign when her media company, Hello Sunshine, acquired the rights to the Taylor Jenkins Reid novel for an Amazon Prime Video limited series in July 2018 before it even hit shelves.

The story follows a fictional rock band through their rise to fame and inevitable breakup in the 1970s. The complex format takes readers on a “Behind the Music”-style trip down memory lane and is a must-read for music fans.

If “Daisy Jones & the Six” fans are worried about the quality of the upcoming adaptation, you can first take comfort knowing Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine is also responsible for bringing highly acclaimed book-to-TV adaptations like “Big Little Lies” to HBO Max, “Little Fires Everywhere” to Hulu, and “From Scratch” to Netflix. On the movie front, Hello Sunshine produced “Where the Crawdads Sing.”

Secondly, the first teaser trailer for the show, which dropped on Dec. 6, gives fans an exhilarating peak at Riley Keough as Daisy and Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne standing on stage in a packed arena, preparing to perform for thousands of fans chanting Daisy’s name.
