Emily Ratajkowski’s Completely Sheer Fishnet Dress Is Covered in Tiny Sequins

The naked-dress trend is alive and well, and Emily Ratajkowski is the latest star to embrace it. The supermodel wore a completely sheer fishnet gown to celebrate W magazine’s 50th anniversary in New York City on Oct. 12. A standout look from Tory Burch‘s Fall 2022 collection, the long-sleeved number is made of a netted material covered in midnight-blue sequins. Although the design debuted on the runway earlier this year with a black slip underneath, Ratajkowski took a bolder route, styling it with a silky blush-pink bralette and matching underwear. She finished the shimmering ensemble with a black handbag, ankle-strap stilettos, and pink eye shadow.

Ratajkowski was in stylish company at the 1972-themed party, with stars like Michaela Coel, Ziwe, Karlie Kloss, and Pharrell Williams all similarly dressed to the nines. After the soiree, the Inamorata founder showed off her dress in a TikTok video featuring audio that says, “I love putting on just a very low-key, casual outfit. It’s great.” Clearly, she’s poking fun at her not-so-low-key look, which she was quick to defend. When one TikToker commented, “Imagine your wife go to party like this😂😂,” she replied, “Not anyones wife god bless 🙏🫶,” alluding to her split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.

Sheer outfits are trending as of late, between Chloë’s crystal-embellished turtleneck dress at the 2022 New Yorker Festival, Florence Pugh’s see-through crop top and maxi skirt at Paris Fashion Week, and Zendaya’s logo-covered catsuit at Valentino’s recent runway show. Ratajkowski is certainly no stranger to the trend, showing off her brand’s lingerie under a knit Coperni midi dress while walking her dog this summer and rocking an intricate Atelier Versace look featuring a bead-dripping top at the 2022 Met Gala.

Read ahead to take an all-angles look at Ratajkowski’s latest fashion moment, and stay tuned for her exact Tory Burch dress to hit stores next month.
