Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, took place this week, and Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, and their 9-month-old daughter, Malti, celebrated in style. On Wednesday, Chopra shared a series of images from the family’s Diwali festivities, and the trio couldn’t have been more sartorially in sync.
The color palette for the affair primarily consisted of dreamy champagne tones, with Chopra, 40, taking the fashionable lead in a traditional lehenga with shiny gold trim that complemented her beaded gold top. Her accessories included gold and diamond chandelier earrings, a single-strand gold necklace, and a pink rose pinned to her low bun, which highlighted her rosy-hued lipstick.
“Love, peace, and prosperity to all,” Chopra wrote on Instagram. “From a heart truly laden with gratitude, I wish you all a Happy Diwali. Sorry I’m a little late but decided to stay in the moment just a little bit longer.”
Meanwhile, Jonas, 30, wore an off-white sherwani with a sheen finish, white pants, and a gold-tinged wristwatch. He cradled baby Malti — whose face was obscured behind a heart emoji to protect her privacy — as she took in her first Diwali. For the family-filled occasion, Malti was dressed in a cream-colored polka-dot set, a satin headband with a floral appliqué, and a stack of bracelets that had her twinning with her mom.
Although the date for Diwali changes every year, the celebrations usually unfold over many days across various religions and cultures, including Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Buddhism. Ahead, see how the Chopra Jonas clan commemorated Diwali, and shop similar pieces.
