Well, well, well, Jonathan Majors and Michael B. Jordan have certainly given folks more incentive to check out “Creed III” once it hits theaters. On March 29, the two costars were spotted filming the third installment of Jordan’s boxing franchise in Venice Beach in LA, and leaked photos of the two in action caused quite a stir on social media.
In them, we see a very toned Majors training on the beach — climbing up ropes, hanging from a pull-up bar, and sprinting in the sand — as he chats with Jordan. Per his November cover story with Men’s Health, Majors (who isn’t on social media) revealed his mother and publicist were the ones to inform him of the photos in the wake of his online thirst messages. “Now I kind of step away from that part,” he told the outlet. “There’s nothing wrong with that. I embrace it. . . . I think that’s part of being sexy.” The actor also said that he’s “not conscious” of the attention he gets for his good looks. “My brother was the pretty boy,” he added. “I was never the cute boy growing up. I was just J.”
Details about Majors’s “Creed III” character, Damian, are being kept under wraps for now, but according to Screenrant, he’s starring in the film as a villain. Jordan, who will make his directorial debut with the third installment, is also reprising his role as Adonis Creed. Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad are set to return as well. “Creed III” will release in theaters on March 3, 2023, marking over four years since we last saw Jordan in the ring for 2018’s “Creed II.”
The photos of Majors and Jordan working together on set came just a few days after they hung out at the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars party. While Jordan and his then-girlfriend Lori Harvey made their red carpet debut during the March 27 event, the actor also took time to pose with his pal Majors in some very dapper photos.
